Reiki Sessions:

I am available for Reiki sessions or Crystal Healing sessions at my home office at 510 Engelhart Dr., in Madison (Directions/map) or on Mondays  and Tuesdays at Sacred Rhythms Wellness Center (www.SacredRhythmsMassage.com), 700 Rayovac Dr., on the West Side in Madison (fees vary by location).

I offer either a 1 hour or a 90 minute Reiki sessions the difference being in a one hour session I only work with you while you are lying on your back.  In a 90 minute session, at about three quarters of the way through the session, you are asked to turn over on your abdomen and I complete the session  working on the back side of your body.  This does not include talking before and after the session, which may include Usui and Karuna Reiki®, as well as Crystal Healing (for more about Crystal Healing see below) and/or Essential Oils.

Deep relaxation is one of the most well known benefits of a Reiki session, which is very beneficial for stress reduction.

My clients regularly report experiencing some of the deepest relaxation they have had in a very long time while having Reiki.  It is quite common for them to fall into a deep sleep (what we call Reiki Slumber) early on in the session and when it's over say they don't remember the last time they slept that deeply.

You're body has a natural healing process - when you cut yourself, you heal, when you have surgery and have an incision, you heal, when you get a cold or a flu, you heal.  This natural healing process cannot be activated unless your body is completely at rest and you are calm and relaxed.  Reiki takes you to that calm, relaxed and restful place so that your natural healing process can be activated and enhances it.

Reiki sessions for Pets:

I also do Reiki on pets.  Please read about the benefits and uses of Reiki for pets on the What Is Reiki? page. Pet Reiki sessions are approximately 40 to 60 minutes in length.  The Reiki practitioner channels the healing energy through her hands to the animal using a light touch either directly on the body or from a distance. The frequency of sessions depends entirely on each individual animals health status and needs. Some health issues can be resolved in two or three sessions, others may require ongoing sessions. As with all services I provide, frequency of sessions will be tailored to the individual needs of the one I am treating. Call today (608/467-7033) to set up an appointment. Fee for these sessions is $45.

I will travel within a reasonable distance for a pet session, otherwise you would be required to bring your pet to my home office at 510 Engelhart Dr., in Madison (Directions/map). Here is how it works: I come in and meet with the owner to determine the reason I have been called to work on their pet.   It is beneficial for the animal to not be present at that time. I then (if the animal is not aggressive) sit alone with the pet and "talk" to him/her and explain who I am and why I am there. I offer your pet the Reiki energy, explaining that it is a loving, healing energy and I am not there to force anything on him/her. It is up to the animal if it chooses to accept or reject the energy and how much or how little it wishes to take.

I sit quietly with palms up in my lap or by my sides and run the energy for the animal. The they to be in my lap or sit/lie next to me or to just lean into me or even lie down at my feet. The animal may be restless at first or even walk away. I will know if it is "taking" the energy or not. It may only "take" the energy for a short time, walk away, and then come back and try some more.

The pace of the session is set by the animal. When the energy is no longer being drawn or the animal walks off to eat, drink or falls asleep, the session is over. I also perform Reiki for pets via Distance Reiki (see Distant Healing or Distant Reiki) or Surrogate Reiki (see below). 

More on Reiki For Pets:

Just like you, your pet can also benefit from this hands-on healing method. The practitioner channels healing energy through her hands to the animal through a light touch either directly on the body or from a distance.

Reiki is based on the idea that all living beings have life force energy flowing through them. When life energy is high, your pets are healthy and balanced, more relaxed and less likely to get sick. When this life energy is low, pets will be more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness. Reiki is a safe complement to conventional Western medicine, Chinese medicine, herbal medicine, homeopathy and all other forms of healing.

Animals, especially cats, are naturally receptive to the Reiki energy and tend to gravitate towards it readily (some people even say cats do Reiki naturally). Some pets may initially prefer to experience the energy from a slight distance, rather than having the practitioner's hands directly on them.

Benefits of Reiki for pets:

• Enhances overall well-being.
Just like people, even healthy pets can have occasional physical, emotional and mental imbalances that, if left untreated, can manifest as illness. Periodic Reiki treatments can help maintain your pet's natural state of well-being and balance.

• Strengthens the immune system for cancer therapies.
Cancer therapies such as chemotherapy and radiation present stress to an already compromised immune system. Reiki strengthens the immune system to better deal with this additional stress. It helps alleviate or prevent the side effects of conventional cancer treatments and provides pain relief.

• Accelerates healing following surgery or illness.
Reiki can alleviate and prevent side effects of conventional medications such as pain killers and antibiotics, and provides pain relief and relaxation to facilitate and enhance the body's natural healing response.

• Increases trust and bonding between you and your pet.
People and pets often mirror each others' physical and emotional states. Animals are natural healers and sometimes take on their person's problems, often in an attempt to heal them. This happens because of the deep bond shared between a pet and his or her person. Because of the shared energy in such a close relationship, energetic imbalances are shared as well. For optimum healing, joint treatments for people and their pets can often be beneficial.

• Can help with behavior issues by promoting relaxation and stress reduction.
Many behavior issues are caused by stress. Reiki has a calming effect on the pet and may help make the pet more receptive to training and behavior modification. Reiki is extremely beneficial for animals with a history of abuse. The gentle touch and the energy can help restore trust in animals who have learned to associate touch with being hurt.

• Provides comfort and relieves pain, anxiety and fear for terminally ill animals.
Reiki is a wonderful way to facilitate the transition for terminally ill animals and their owners. Often, animals will not allow themselves to transition because they intuitively feel that their person is not ready to let them go. Joint Reiki treatments for the pet and his or her person can help both through this difficult time by enhancing the bond and allowing a gentle transition. 

Surrogate Reiki Sessions:

An alternative to an "in house" Reiki session for those who are house bound, have transportation issues or do not live in the area is a Surrogate Distant Reiki Healing session (a common practice among Reiki Practitioners). This approximately one hour session is performed by the practitioner in their home or office on a surrogate  (most Reiki practitioners use a stuffed animal  or special Reiki Healing Doll to stand in as the client).

The practitioner performs an entire Reiki session on the surrogate intending that it act as a stand in for the client, going through all the usual hand positions that are applied in a typical "hands on" healing session, paying special attention to any area/s of concern that the client conveys to the practitioner beforehand (hip pain, knee pain, back pain, migraines, sinus issues, etc) and ending with the Reiki finish (a special set of hand positions on the back that calms and balances the para-sympathetic nervous system), sweeping the aura, resetting the crown chakra and wrapping the receiver in white light.

Just as in a "hands on" healing session, the practitioners hands heat up, they can feel the energy flowing in to do what is required in whatever areas they are working in, energy blocks (stuck emotional energy)  is released, the chakras are opened, cleared and balanced -everything that you would experience if you were having an "in person" session.  I may also receive intuitive guidance or information during these sessions just as in any other session as am I a psychic and trans medium.

An appointment is required for this service and you would need to either sit quietly or lie down somewhere for a little over an hour.  I would call or email you after the session to discuss what areas were taking in Reiki the most, if  there were any block releases and if I received any information during the session.  The fee for this service is $55.00.

This is a wonderful way for those who cannot travel or have limited availability to still reap the benefits of a full Reiki session.  Many of the clients I have performed this service for feel it is even more powerful then a "hands on" session - see "Testimonials".

Distant Reiki or Distant Healing:

Reiki can be sent to any person, place, or thing either in real time or the past or future.  We call this Distant Reiki Sending or Distant Healing or Absentia Healing.  Reiki practitioners are generally taught to do this in a Level II class but I discovered through experimentation several years ago, that even those at Reiki Level I have the ability to send Distant Reiki.  Many Reiki Master Teachers have what is called a Distant Healing List or Group.  They, along with a number of their students regularly send out Distant Reiki Healing to requests that come in to the teacher from their students or others.  These requests are relayed out to the everyone via an email list of participants.

I regularly pass on these requests as they come in and I also participate in the sending of the energy myself.  Many of our recipients have reported amazing almost miraculous results.

Distant Reiki can also assist someone who is in transition to cross over more comfortably.  Doctors and nurses have been amazed by the quick and easy recovery of patients after surgery, or other kinds of procedures that require hospitalization and many other circumstances.

To request a Distant Healing Reiki Session for yourself, I would require a picture of yourself or the person you are requesting Reiki for (does not have to be current), your name, location and what specific areas you are having issues with.

The fee for this service is $40.00. I use several different methods for sending distant Reiki depending on the severity of the issues and how long you want the energy to be going out for.  If you are not local, I accept credit cards through Betterfly for your convenience (additional fees appply).

Crystal Healing and Reiki:

Many Reiki practitioners and others who work in the alternative healing arts combine crystals and stones with their practices.  I was trained in two different schools of Crystal Healing and like to combine crystals with Reiki when I feel intuited to do so.  Placing a crystal/stone on the area of the body where a chakra is located that corresponds to the color of the chakra is a very common way Crystal Healers use Crystals or stones. This is particularly effective while you are having a Reiki session as the Reiki energy is flowing into the crystal and enhancing whatever healing properties it has.

I frequently use a selenite wand to remove congestion in the energy field of the body where there is a health issue.  Breaking up and removing the congestion is vital to the area to bring it back to a higher, healthier vibration so it will accept the Reiki energy.

I can also program and charge a crystal with Reiki energy for a clients particular needs - they take them home with them to keep them in their pockets or place them in little pouches to wear around their necks or wear as crystal pendants.  I can also help you write out a healing intention on a piece of paper and clear, charge and program a crystal that you would set on top of the piece of paper you wrote the intention on and it would send out a continual flow of Reiki energy to the situation on the paper.

Here are three new treatments I am doing using Crystals and Stones:

Chakra Balancing Layout: $40 (a 45 minute session)

Chakra Activation Layout $50 (a 60 minute session)

Chakra Healing Layout $60 (a 90 minute or longer session)

Different layouts do different things - bring all the chakras into balance, open all the major and minor chakras, and energy systems of the body and so on.

Crystal Balancing Sessions:

A Crystal Balancing Session is performed using 2 medium sized clear quartz crystal healing wands placed on three areas of the body for 5 minutes approximately in each area. This session is 15-20 minutes in length.  I was attuned by one of my Crystal Healing teachers to work with the wands in this way.  They act to bring the body into balance.  Many people report feeling deeply relaxed after the application of these crystals, which makes it a wonderful addition to a Reiki session if you are feeling anxious or nervous and having trouble relaxing into the session.  Many people come to me for Reiki with anxiety issues and I find having a Crystal Balancing session before a Reiki session extremely beneficial in helping them to get to a calm, relaxed state so they are more receptive to receiving the healing benefits of a Reiki session.

The Crystal Healing Wands can also relieve pain.  By placing them on either side of the area where the person is experiencing pain and running energy through them for approximately 15-20 minutes, one can experience pain relief.
